Course Description

This one-day hands-on course will be a step-by-step practical guide to trophectoderm (TE) biopsy and cell preparation for PGT.
Methods for biopsy and cell preparation via tubing including a description of pipettes, media, and equipment will be discussed in detail. Demonstration of both techniques and hands-on training on a mouse model is included.
This course complements the Virtual (theoretical) Course on Trophectoderm Biopsy and Cell Preparation for PGT. It is advised that delegates participate in the Virtual Course before enrolling on the hands-on course.

Minimal expertise required for participation in the Course

Lab technicians, clinical embryologists, research scientists with micromanipulation experience wishing to learn the basics of trophectoderm biopsy and cell preparation for PGT and/or improve their technique.

A one-day hands-on course in the laboratory of the CooperSurgical Center of Excellence.

Educational methods

Demonstrations and hands-on training on trophectoderm biopsy, using mouse embryos, and cell preparation for genomic testing.
