The EZ-Range of denudation and handling devices is mouse embryo assay (MEA) and limulus amoebocyte lysate (LAL) tested and made from flexible and shatter-proof medical-grade plastic, designed to avoid scratching Petri dishes (as fragile glass pipettes are prone to do).

All products are rigorously checked for quality, ensuring consistent geometries, close tolerances, and smooth edges, and are sterilized in compliance with ISO 11137 standard for gamma irradiation.

Good to know

The use of EZ-Tips, EZ-Strips or EZ-Squeeze tips for denudation of the oocyte helps to minimize the duration of exposure to additional chemicals such as the hyaluronidase enzyme.1,2

The use of the EZ-Tips, EZ-Strips or EZ-squeeze tips may help facilitate improved fertilization rates by aiding the mechanical removal of the cumulus-corona radiata complex from around the oocyte, improving oocyte visibility for the user, and allowing injection of spermatozoa during ICSI procedures without the cumulus cells blocking the ICSI needle.1,2

General questions about the EZ-Range™ portfolio

The EZ-Range portfolio includes both traditional pipetting (EZ-Grip, EZ-Tip), bulb pipetting (EZ-Squeeze) and a complete sterile single-use unit (EZ-Strip) to fulfill most ART laboratories’ demands.

EZ-Grip has a blow-out capacity to remove the remaining liquid in the tip, which can reduce the risk of oocytes and embryos getting stuck in the pipette tip.

EZ-Squeeze and EZ-Strip are both bulb pipettors with a closed tip system, and EZ-Strip additionally is a complete sterile single-use unit, which reduces the risk of cross-contamination between patient samples, for example high viral impact patients.

Tip vials and blister packs are color marked which will reduce the risk of using a tip diameter which is too small for the purpose, posing mechanical stress to the oocyte or embryo.

EZ-Range is designed for denudation of oocytes in preparation for ICSI and IVF techniques.

The EZ-Range devices can also be used for handling or moving oocytes and embryos from one container to another, for example between drops in a dish, between dishes or moving to a vitrification carrier.

The devices are also approved to handle biopsied material for PGT, such as polar bodies, blastomeres and trophectoderm cells.

EZ-Tip is a premium quality plastic tip for oocyte denudation or oocyte and embryo handling.

Our close-tolerance plastic tips are flexible, with smooth edges and consistent geometries.

The EZ-Tip can be easily extracted from its packaging and loaded into the pipettor.

The 0.9mm outside diameter fits the EZ-Grip and is compatible with all popular denudation and transfer pipettors.

Tip size indicator
Manual indicator dial may be used as a reminder of the size of the EZ-Tip fitted (or left blank if preferred)
This can be beneficial during oocyte denudation when multiple size diameters might be used

Volume adjustment
Adjust the volume according to the procedural need, for example large volumes for oocyte denudation and small volumes for vitrification or tubing of cells. One turn equates to approximately 0.2 µL.

If a pipettor is not properly maintained, it may create workflow disruptions and frustration.

With our maintenance video the process of caring for your EZ-Grip device is simplified, making maintenance straightforward and accessible for all users. You can also read this in the Instructions for Use provided with the product.

The EZ-Grip may eventually require a replacement plunger wire and seals after extended use. These can be ordered as separate repair kits. One set is supplied with the unit.

Supplied with the EZ-Grip is a M2.5 hex key tool that is needed to loosen and replace the plunger wire. No tools are required to replace the seals.

EZ-Strip® Pipette

EZ-Strip is a unique design, developed for maintaining the most exacting laboratory sterility standards. The EZ-Strip is a complete sterile unit for denudation and handling which reduces the risk of cross contamination.1 Systems using reusable devices or handles cannot make the same guarantees.
